Electronic Invoices & Physical Delivery Dockets Reconciliation
  Business Challenge

Coles and Bi Lo stores were moving to a fully computerised system to receive delivery dockets and invoices electronically. However, some of the small suppliers needed more time to migrate into this new electronic network. Coles and Bi-Low stores needed a new module to handle these paper-based delivery dockets from small suppliers who were not ready to integrate into Cole Myer's new electronic Invoice and Delivery Dockets Management System.

Since changes to new SAP supply change management system is expensive the decision makers needed a cost effective prototype system to test the automation of processes that matched paper based delivery dockets with invoices from smaller suppliers.

  Boston Software Solution
Boston Software developed a working prototype to reconcile Electronic Invoices and Physical Delivery Dockets for Coles & Bi-Lo Stores.

Electronic Invoices & Physical Delivery Dockets Reconciliation system was specially designed to increase speed of data entry and to maximise the speed of matching electronic invoices to delivery dockets. System's validation facility was designed to validate invoices and delivery dockets based on business rules of Coles and Bi-Lo.

System's reporting facility was designed to generate various reports to identify anomalies.

Working prototype provided Coles & Bi-Low decision makers an in-depth knowledge of all the related to business processes and the system, prior to adopting the expensive SAP supply change management system.
