Royal Australian Navy            Inventory Optimisation Database.                   Business Challenge       The Royal Australian Navy needed to develop a significantly improved user- friendly assets management system as a replacement for the current mainframe asset management system to manage written off assets. These included assets ranging from nuts and bolts to dismantled parts of naval vessels.       Boston Software Solution       Computer Science Corporation is the primary IT service provider to Royal Australian Navy. Boston Software, as a sub contractor to Computer Science Corporation, designed and implemented a user-friendly Inventory Management System for the Inventory Optimisation Section of The Royal Australian Navy. Inventory Optimisation Database was used to store and manage written off assets to be disposed. System contained modules to manage the exact location of the stored item, manage auctions, sales revenues, disposal related staff expenses.
