NSW Board of Adult
and Adult Community Education (BACE) manages a network of more than
70 Adult & Community Education providers, with an annual enrolment
of over 400,000, providing more than 1,000 courses/modules at over
hundred locations throughout NSW.
BACE is responsible for collecting enrolment data from all the providers
in NSW and validate and audit the data. Providers present their data
in a wide variety of formats and the challenge was to collect them
in a format approved by NCVER. |

in collaboration with BASE staff , designed and developed a Statistical
Database Management System to collect provider enrolment data such
as student enrolments, student characteristics, and the type of courses
provided.
System is used to validate, consolidate and analyse the collected
data enabling BACE to produce various analysis and decision supporting
reports in order to asses industry and community needs, conduct on-going
evaluations, and develop funding strategies.

The search engine included the functionality to expand the successful
matches to provide the name and contact details of the ACE Provider

have been granted recognition or credit transfer to the relevant TAFE

System consists of user-friendly search facility to search courses/modules
and credit transfer requirements based on a wide variety of parameters.
System's reporting facility provides various reports on ACE course/modules
and equivalent TAFE courses/modules.
