In order to manage m-commerce project, Telstra needed a Program Management
Office (PMO) system for management of projects, milestones, deliverable,
resources, and issues arising from contract negotiations with m-commerce
partners. |

Boston Software
designed and developed m-Commerce PMO system as the reporting and
monitoring tool for Telstra m-Commerce Project Management Office.
Telstra used PMO system for progress reporting of all m-commerce projects,
integration of MS Project plans, and Issue Management.
The system's reporting facility provided consolidated progress status
for the steering committee. Issues progress reports provided the direction
for the project team to focus on resolution of open issues and to
enforce accountability.
Fort-nightly status report that took many days to prepare using Excel
Spreadsheet was reduced to one-click and 30 seconds of processing
time. Issues were logged and progress notes were kept to meet the
compliance standard of contract negotiation.
